I am a bisexual senior who, while in the military 46 years ago, had an intimate relationship with an older GI; although I've gone through two marriages since then(not very happy ones, either, I might add), I never forgot the close friendship, genuine care and concern that he showed me. During the months we shared, before I left for Vietnam, we couldn't get enough of one another; even after all these years, I still remember him with a sense of love and affection. I would like to find someone like that, again; I'm tired of feeling miserable and alone, all the time. I'm a friendly, and often called funny guy, who finds stress relief in laughter and music; I do, however, have a sometimes sarcastic outlook about some things, but much of my sarcasm is light-hearted. My 'spouse' and I have been sleeping apart for eight years, now, and I haven't had a close relationship with anyone during this time--obviously "romantically challenged." I've finally concluded that a change is required to ease my loneliness; life is too short, to go on depriving myself of the joy to be had with another person. I want someone I can be close to--someone I can talk with, share a joke or movie with; someone I can be honest with about my feelings, and who will be as honest with me; someone who will enjoy being with me, holding me, and making love with me; someone who'll be glad to see me walk in the door, or climb into bed with me. Night-time is always the toughest for me, because I have been sleeping alone for so long. I want to hold someone, and have them hold me; to caress someone, and have them caress me; and, one of the things I miss most--to share a bed and bodily warmth with that someone, on cold, winter nights. If anyone out there shares these feelings, I would genuinely appreciate hearing from you. Bottom line: "I want to know what love is, once again, before it's too late."
