I live in Lancaster, PA, I stayed in the area after attending Millersville University due to the slow er pace of life and people who are for the most part friendly and easy to get to know.

Although it was not my first choice in a career since it was only a part time college job. I have made a career ofI working with adults with disabilities and mental health issues. I have been working for the same company for 31 years and over that time I have gained a better understanding of the people I work with. I have held many different positions which has kept me interested in my job and has brought me the most challenging people. I assess people’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and try to give them the life that they want. I have worked with some of the most challenging people and work hard to educate the direct care staff to teach skills and behaviors that will help people to get their wants and needs met with appropriate behaviors as an alternative for the maladaptive behaviors that they have learned. I am also a certified investigator and look into allegations of abuse and neglect within our agency and consult for other similar companies.

In my free time I enjoy vacationing in a cabin on a lake and boating, making home improvement, reading, getting together with friends for drinks or a meal. I also enjoy working in my gardens moving and dividing plants and trading them with neighbors. I enjoy having gatherings at my home to bring together people in my life who may not otherwise meet.

I am looking for a man that has something to show for their time on this earth. I like confident men who know what they want and are persistent in their goals until they have accomplished them. I respect men who have their own educated opinions that are from their own understanding and not something that they have heard from someone else.

I am an animal lover and believe we all have a responsibility to to help those that can not help themselves; which is one of the reasons that I like men I the military. Of course, I love a man in uniform so that usually give them a leg up over other men. I also respect the the way most military men conduct themselves and are generally thoughtful, well mannered, and have a respect for authority and hold themselves to a higher degree of compassion and decorum.
